Brooklyn, New York is home to both Joe and the iconic Sabrett hot dog, so it was only natural that the two would eventually come together.

After moving to Westlake Village, Joe stumbled upon Smiley’s Hot Dogs and quickly made it his go-to lunch spot. What started as a regular stop for a classic New York–style hot dog soon turned into something much bigger.

In 2014, Joe and his close friend Raul took over the business, proudly becoming the next generation of Smiley’s. With deep respect for Smiley’s roots and a shared love for great food and community, they committed to preserving everything locals loved—while carrying the tradition forward.

Today, Smiley’s continues to serve up authentic New York flavor with the same curbside charm, friendly faces, and quality that have made it a Westlake Village favorite for decades.
